•   *Carbon+High pH Treatment*
A Combination Carbon and High pH Treatmentis best performed separately since a great deal of sludge may strain the sludge capacity of the filter. As such, it is usually preferred to first high pH treat the solution followed by pH adjustment and carbon treatment.

If both treatments must be made simultaneously, follow steps 1 through 5 under Carbon Treatment followed by steps 2 through 12 under High pH Treatment.
